Granule Sulphur

Granule Sulphur (also called granular Sulphur or sulfur granules) is a solid form of elemental sulfur that has been processed into small, uniform granules for easier handling, storage, and application.

What It Is

  • Chemical formula: Sā‚ˆ (elemental sulfur)
  • Form: Small, rounded granules (typically 1–6 mm in size)
  • Color: Bright yellow
  • Odor: Odorless (though impure sulfur may have a faint smell of sulfur compounds)

Manufacturing Process

Granular sulfur is typically produced by:

  • Melting raw sulfur.
  • Forming granules using a prilling tower or rotary drum.
  • Cooling and solidifying into uniform granules.

This makes it less dusty, safer to handle, and easier to transport than powdered sulfur.
